MedaCube's FAQ says half tablets and liquid filled gel caps must first be over encapsulated: you open an empty gelatin capsule, put the pill inside and close it, once per pill, at every refill. A medication taken twice a day for a 90 day supply is 180 capsules to fill by hand. Their user manual, dated 2015 to 2019 and written before the 2.0 hardware, goes further and says use of liquid filled gel capsules is "not supported."

On the pages we read on October 7, 2026 we found no bin volume in milliliters or ounces and no pill count. Their FAQ describes a standard bin as "roughly one-fourth of a cup" and a large bin as "roughly three-quarters of a cup," which converts to about 59 ml and about 177 ml.
