Canceling "stops future renewals after the end of your current paid term or commitment period, but does not avoid charges already due for the current billing period, annual commitment term, prepaid term, or other amounts disclosed and agreed at checkout." Separately, the device itself must be returned within 30 days after the subscription ends, and Hero's returns policy states that failing to return it triggers a Non-Returned Dispenser Fee. Hero's Terms of Use put that fee at $1,500 for a dispenser and $150 for a Hotspot, and state that paying it does not buy the unit.
