Whole tablets, capsules, caplets, soft gels, and gel caps fit, including vitamin E type caplets. Pills need to be at least 4 mm. Round tablets can be up to 14 mm across, and caplets up to 28 mm long. Half or split pills, chewables, dissolvables, gummies, powders, crushed pills, liquids, and sticky or crumbly formats are not supported.
A pod holds about 150 ml, which is roughly 90 to 150 average-size pills, and fewer if they are large capsules. How often you refill depends on how many of that pill you take each day.
Most of the effort is one step. The Fit Kit takes about 5 to 10 minutes to match a pod to its pill, and it stays set as long as that pod holds the same pill. After that, you pour the pills in loose from the bottle and set the schedule in the app, which takes under 15 seconds. You need a smartphone, because each dose is dispensed from the app.
No. The system uses Wi-Fi if you have it and Bluetooth if you do not. On Bluetooth, keep your phone nearby when a dose is due; the only feature you give up is letting someone else dispense remotely for you. There is no cellular plan and no recurring cost.
Pods need power to release a pill, so during an outage you open the pod from the top and take your pills by hand. There is no battery backup. When power returns, your schedule and history resync.
